The story of the stone
Stone from Afyon.
The stone of our vessels comes from the quarries of Afyonkarahisar. This land has been known for its stone for centuries; we place a small light inside that long story.
01Earth
Afyonkarahisar is one of Anatolia's oldest marble regions. The veins of the stone form under the pressure and time of millions of years; every block carries its own pattern.
02Quarry
In Roman times, marble from the Dokimeion quarries around today's Iscehisar travelled to the cities of the empire. Stone is still cut from the same land today.
03Hand
The stone that leaves the quarry becomes a candle vessel in our atelier. No two vessels are alike; the veins, tones and small differences make each one yours.
Stone waits for centuries. The candle burns inside it for a few hours.
